ZapWallPaper Classic is a nice application developed to change the background periodically and everything automatically. It is extremely simple to use and also very customizable.
It offers popup menu from the Windows taskbar for quick access, the possibility to change background when Windows starts, change every x minutes, image management BMP, JPEG, GIF, PNG and TIF, adaptation of the size of the screen image and more.
